Was a Software

It's finally here. All those years of rambling have to come to an end. I have given up all that I have learnt and used for the past 5 years as a software engineer. No more writing codes. Still taking it slowly, it is like what I have thought so far these years, had finally come to past. I am a sales guy now. I mean, really in the sales line. Woh!
I know what lies before me. A lot of fear actually. Stress as well. However, I know, I really do know, that my God had made a way for me. I can only lean on Him.So I'll lean on him, keeping in step. I may fall, my Lord, but I want to get back up and running again as soon as I could. I don't want to miss out of Your glory.
Starting December, 2009. My new journey begins. Arise my Righteous One! in your workplace!

What does 1Malaysia mean to me.

1Malaysia mean that we are coming as 1Body in Christ, having the same passion, having the same spirit, praying and agreeing together in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a call for me to answer. To pray together with my brother and sister in Christ, for this nation. To keep this nation safe and sound. To bless and prosper. To cast every spirit of corruptions and injustice. To be His light and salt on this nation. This I joined the RunForTheNation.

This event cut across denominations as well as language barrier, so as long as you  pray and agree in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. For indeed the Lord is here when 2 or 3 are gathered in His Name. We speak of victory even before the battle begins!

Run For The Nation is a project endorsed by NECF, to pray for our community and our nation by using running as a tool/means to cover more areas. Each team of 3 runners, will be carrying a prayer card, taking turns to pray while running a 5km designated route around either the place where you stay, where you work or where your church is. After the end of the 5km, we shall pass the "baton" - the prayer card to the next team, which will continue running for another 5km.

The final meeting point will be in PJ. (To be finalise soon).

Do not fret if youare not a season runner or have not run before. So as long as you have a pair of legs, you can join! hihi.... To help the begineer, there will be training every Saturday morning. 1 being in Lake Garden, another in Bukit Jalil. Fantastic training session! I enjoyed it a lot. So, I hope you don't look at the hard part (which is the running) but strive to finish the race!

Great is Thy Faithfulness

This post is for you, a stranger but a brother in Christ. Though we have never met each other before, though we never spoken, in my heart, I know where you are now. I know you are now resting in the Lord's hand. For Jesus hath said that He will prepare a place in the Father's house. You are there now. You are by His side.
Today hath been gloomy. The whole nation in pursuit of you. I know a lot of your family memebrs and friends are worrying about you. But now, I pray that they would know where you are now. In the safe hands of out Lord. I'm in tears now. I felt, close to you all of a sudden. Because we are spiritual brother.
You hathed made a difference in my life today. You really do. You had me really looking into our heavenly responsibilities here for the Father. There are so many out there, they haven't heard of Him. Not everyone is going to the Father's house though the Father's heart is to have everyone staying there.
Thank you for being able to run with you for the first and last time. You will always be remembered. The Lord is faithful. Rest in peace in His arm, Gary.

Our first step

Finally, after all these years of just talking about it, I actually did it! That was the most nervous point of my life. Preparing for this was a torture, so much so, I have to lie a lot to her and we even had small quarrels during this period of me hiding the surprise. Yes, I have seen myself grown. I am no longer the kind of guy who is not stable, flinging around anymore. I know that by making this decision, I had thought about it plenty of time and as I bought the precious, things became clearer. I had such peace in doing this because I know she is the one that I am going to walk together for the rest of our life and God had made it possible. Thank you Lord. After somuch struggles we had together, seeing her from being my good friend, to become my lover and then, brother and sister in Christ. The growth was awesome. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to love and cherish you.

My first Marathon

The great night started of with a carbo overloading session to have energy for the run. I had some yummy japanese rice and ramen for lunch and pizza for dinner. It's really full!
Yup. Before the race. Pose on the poster. Don't know why I slant together with the poster. haha.

The orange color tag is called a D-Tag. It is used to track my timing when I cross the starting lines, and crossing the finishing line. Dog Tag. hahaha...
One more pose with proper attire for the run!
Finished the run! Am glad. Really glad and happy. 5 hours 52 mins is not a bad timing for a first timer. B, I told you i will get the finisher medal for you! hihi...
Me and Puay Gaik (super woman!) finishes the race on the podium.
Mission accomplished. Goal achieved! Resolution kept!
I ran the race, I finished the race, and I have kept the FAITH! Praise God!

My First ever Marathon...in 10days time

This is the moment that I have been waiting for. 42.5km, 11:59pm, 30th May,2009, Singapore.
Yes, this is it. This is what I have been training for. By hook or by crook, I MUST get the finisher medal and finish below 6hours.
Looking back in December,2008. I have challenged myself to run a marathon. See that kennysia[dot]com also can finish a marathon, that gives me additional reason to run the race as well. But right now, it's personal. It's more to challenging myself to finish the race, to keep the faith. Just as I have walked my Christian life for so long, often a times, when I fell, i took a very long time to recover. And I need external inspiration to recover. I gave up most of the time.
Running this marathon, it is not so much of on my physical strength but the mental strength. Thank God, I have help! The Holy Spirit. He is going to be with me while I am running. He is going to give me a song. A song that lift me up when I run.
This month is also the month of prayer. Praying for the nation. Malaysia needs prayer. I know, I alone won't make a different, but I also know that I too CAN make a different but standing in the gap for my country, Malaysia. (though Ill be in Singapore). So, i do hope that whoever is reading this blog, do pray with me together as I run the race.
Singapore, here I come!

In memory of Po Po

I remembered how I was introduce to you. 'Alex' - You called my name with a Chinese accent. You know that you are always special to me, even though we are not blood related. I was introduced as a friend by your beloved grand daughter. But deep inside you already know that I was more than a friend to you beloved Mabel. You kept it to yourself. Every time, when I visited you, when I chat with you, you are always willing to talk to me, share to me. I want you to know that, I have already treated you as my own grandma. I am so glad you remembered me, asked of me every time your Mabel visits you. I am glad. I am very happy. To know that you fell down for the 2nd time, it really broke my heart. I wish I could do more. I wish I could carry you, lift you up. I wish,...,I was there. Po, you have a strong heart. A fighter's heart. You never give up. You never fail to protect. Though there are times, when you are not happy, you grumbled out. We understood your pain. Forgive us for not being able to do anything. Po, I hope your soul will find rest in the Lord. For there is no more pain and suffering.
I hope to see you walk again, being joyful and cheerful. I just want to let you know, you are and will always be in our memory.

My Planning in Johannesburg

YES, I am going to Johannesburg soon!
The planning for the trip is really tough. Though the air ticket and the accomodations are provided, I still ened to plan the tour which is not cheap. Must find a cheap one!
Plans:
Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve. (This is the place where you can take picture and touch the cubs)
Gold Reef City - plan to go their ourself without a guide. Option - public transport (they say it is worst then KL) or Drive there. I'm looking at GPS. Anyone is using a GPS?
Sun City & a nearby Nature Reserve - This one is expensive. About RM400 perpax. Not too sure whether want to go or not.
Soweto - Downtown of Johannesburg. If want to go, I need to get a tour as this will be the most dangerous place to go. The World Cup stadiums are nearby this place. How ah?

more to come....

I had Peri delicious lunch in Nandos

25th March 09 is a day of surprise. I met up with the staff of Nandos, including their CEO and COO to have luncheon with them in their main office. To my surprise, its in Nandos Chinatown!
Ms. Marc was indeed a very humble person, and bubbly. She treats her staff really good! I really admired her character. I remember reading about how Nandos was founded in Malaysia by her when she opened up her first restaurant in Bangsar. I just got to know the one in Bangsar has since move on. The one in Bangsar Village 1 is a new one. Thats one of my favourite restaurant to visit.

I thanked God for blessing me through Nandos Malaysia ,giving me the opportunity to visit the land where Nandos is founded. You are wrong, it's not in Portugal. It's in South Africa!!!
Here I would like to extend my gratitude to Ms Marc, Ms Annie, Shi Ling, Melissa, and the rest of the marketing team on the lunch that day. You all have served us very well as if we are part of you all during the luncheon. Mum and I loved the Extra-Hot Peri Chicken with the Peri-Starters!!! They are my favourite dishes.

But I guess, to be able to meet up with one of the daring person in Malaysia who brought Nandos to Malaysia, expanded it and made it a family hang out place. I'm grateful for your fellowship and food, not forgetting the trip :)

I hope our paths will cross again! Thanks again for every thing :) Take care
